The rabbits have been devouring our lettuce, so we are continuing to work on fencing the children’s garden. This weekend the children, their parents, and garden coordinator Don built a built the gate. Afterwards we harvested radishes we planted and broccoli from the main garden.

Kyle, Vincent, and Nidhi have been hard at work with their parents Wayne and Suma and garden coordinator Don building a childrens’ garden. First they layered a lasagna garden in a keyhole design. Then they transplanted broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage and lettuce and sowed bean, squash, lettuce, and radish seeds. Next came mulching. Currently they are building a fence to keep the rabbits out.
